After a long break, Tech for Good Live was back on July 22 with an online meetup on Digital Trustees! In this blog, we talk about what we’ve learnt about who digital trustees are and who they are not, how to recruit one and how to become one.
Read MoreIf you work for a charity, you’ll have some trustees, probably at least three. They might focus on comms, finance, and operations trustees. And yeah, I know, they can probably be a bit of a pain sometimes. Their role is to challenge you. Ask you the difficult questions and keep you on track.
Read MoreI’m a super fun person. At least two people have told me that during my life. One was my husband. The other was me, in the mirror, giving myself a much needed pep talk. Like all super fun people do, lately I’ve been thinking about the effectiveness of skills-based volunteering.
Read MoreWe stand with the Black Lives Matter movement and we’re conscious that *our* voices are not the voices you should be listening to right now. But, we do have a platform, and we want to make sure we’re using it to amplify those voices that need to be heard.

Read MoreAt times when the violation of privacy and evil tech do not make the news, it is important to showcase how data is being used for good. In February, we teamed up with Open Data Manchester and invited four amazing speakers that are doing data for good.

Read MoreRight, let’s talk about Climate Change. Climate Change IS happening. And climate change is making us angry. Climate change might stop ruining the Earth if every one of us does something. What a surprise, right? On a less sarcastic note, let’s talk about our October event on climate change.

Read MoreLong-time ago when the skies were blue, and the weather was nice (also known as August) we had a chance to learn about behavioural changes and the role of digital in it.
Why should we care about ‘behavioural change’ that sounds like a subject of a dusty library book? Mainly because all of us are involved in it, whether we want it or not.
Read MoreBack in March, we had a brilliant event, on...you guessed it.. Law Tech! We know right…that was an obvious one.
However, it seems that many within the legal industry today, are seldom acquainted with the fast moving advancements technology has to offer, and that other industries more readily pickup.

This podcast is a three part series about the Circular Economy we worked on with our friends at Dsposal. It’s part of The Disruptive Innovation Festival 2018. Is The Circular Economy a model that can save us from planetary crisis or just a nice idea that will never work?
In this episode we consider Space Age thinking. Which is great - because we love space. We hear that a Blade-Runner-esq future might be on the horizon - and that might not be too bad. Also, and more importantly, we explore the unintended consequences of the Circular Economy.
